Beijer Electronics GPS Vehicle and Fleet Management system

QSI History Company History and Philosophy

Acquired in October 2010 by Beijer Electronics, QSI Corporation began operations in 1983 as a manufacturer of low-power bus board computers Acquired in October 2010 by Beijer Electronics, QSI Corporation began operations in 1983 as a manufacturer of low-power bus board computers. Two years later, we introduced our first terminal (the QTERM®), a simple 20-key unit with a 4x16 display. Although primitive compared with our current products, it helped establish our reputation for building quality, reliable terminals to precise specifications.
Known for designing rugged products, our QSI™ terminals are environmentally tested to perform in extreme temperature ranges and high levels of shock, vibration and humidity. Our products can be found operating outdoors during Canada's arctic winters, in the oil fields, on off-shore drilling rigs, military applications and wastewater filtration plants.
Building rugged terminals made our entry into the mobile data terminal market in 1994 a natural fit. Now, our mobile data terminals are used in long-haul trucking, public transit, taxis and locomotives. We continue to expand the capabilities of our TREQ® family of mobile data terminals. After twenty-seven years as QSI Corporation, we legally changed our name to Beijer Electronics, Inc. in April 2011 and became the North American division of Beijer Electronics AB. We continue to design and manufacture operator interface terminals for industrial, commercial and vehicle applications as well as offer powerful automation software.
Beijer Electronics AB began in 1981 in Malmo, Sweden and has since evolved into a multinational group. With locations in sixteen countries around the world and over 600 employees, Beijer Electronics provides a wealth of industry knowledge and a network of sales, support and engineering personnel to help you. The company is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm's Small Cap list under the ticker BELE.
